The Application Process

APPLICATIONS & VIDEOS ARE DUE FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 2027

 Listed below are the four main components to the application for our program.​

Step 1:  

• Book an audition slot: this must be completed BEFORE proceeding with the application. Click the link corresponding to your arts program of interest to arrange an audition time.

•  You may audition for more than one arts discipline. Note that we do not have a string program, and the Vocal/Drama is a combined course. 

• Record your date and time. This information is required in the application form.

• PLEASE CANCEL your booking if you decide not to audition.

Step 2: 

• Complete the application form. Clicking the link will open the application form in a new window.

• If auditioning for more than one arts discipline, fill out a SEPARATE application form for each. 

• UPLOAD a digital copy of your most recent progress report/report card in this form. 

• You must have a Google Account to complete this form. If you need an alternate method, please email ocvipa@ddsb.ca.

Step 3:

• Connect with your most recent Drama, Dance, or Music Teacher at school and have them complete the Teacher Reference Form.

• It is an option to ask a community organization teacher as well.

• Request that they go to the website or provide them with this link.

Step 4:

• Upload your audition video(s). Vocal/Drama auditions must submit TWO videos. A song and a monologue.

• Clicking the link will open the audition upload form in a new window. 

• Audition video requirements are located under the 'Audition Info' dropdown menu.
